Important tips about owning a 2009 Volkswagen TDI Jetta? - volkswagen jetta tdi sport wagon

I think the purchase of a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta TDI and I wonder whether there is an important exercise caution when filling the fuel or an oil change. Is it only the use of standard diesel fuel at service stations around the United States and is currently also get an oil change?

It's just a normal car ... Diesel is used in Europe for many years. Using regular diesel at service stations are now ultra-low (-diesel sulfur content of 15 ppm or less, compared to the low-sulfur diesel, which was 500 ppm or less) in the past. As the car stopped a particulate filter with an excess of sulfur in the exhaust. But since this change has been commissioned by the Federal, you are filled with diesel (from anywhere do not dare to put gas in the car, which will be a costly mistake). As for oil changes, this leads to a sale price of oil. Jiffy Lube = bad. The VW TDI engine requires 507.00 Standard Oil, which used a full synthetic (Castrol Syntec distributors Germany). The best way for an oil change the dealer if you do it yourself.

An important source of information is www.vwvortex.com and www.tdiclub.com

Good luck!

There are no "special" diesel "fuel" Everything comes from the same country.
This means that runs on diesel. The same precautions as in any diesel engine. (Do not pee in the tank at the same time), it makes no more difficult to handle. They very well alone.
